This page explains how UK Blog decides what to publish and how we keep our reporting accurate and fair.
Accuracy and Sourcing
- Every factual claim should come from a named, checkable source: an official statement, a published report, a data release, a court or parliamentary record, or a direct interview.
- We link to primary sources where they exist and credit other publishers when we rely on their reporting.
- We do not publish rumours as fact. If a claim is unconfirmed, we say so.
- We include figures, dates, and quotes exactly as given and check them before publication.
Originality
- Articles are written for UK Blog. We do not copy, spin, or lightly reword text from other websites.
- We may quote short passages from other sources with clear credit and a link.
- Images are either our own, properly licensed, or used with permission, and we credit them.
News and Opinion
We label commentary and opinion pieces so readers can tell them from news reporting. Opinion reflects the views of the writer, not of every contributor.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to help with research, summarising, or editing. AI does not replace a writer: a person checks every fact, writes or rewrites the article, and is responsible for what is published. We do not publish AI-generated images of real events as if they were photographs.
Corrections and Updates
- If we find or are told about a mistake, we fix it promptly.
- For a significant error, we add a note at the top or bottom of the article saying what changed and when.
- When we update a story with new information, we show the update date.
- To report an error, email info@ukblog.co.uk with the article link and what you believe is wrong.
Independence and Advertising
Advertising, including Google AdSense, pays for this site, but advertisers never choose, edit, or approve our stories. Sponsored content and affiliate links, if we ever use them, are labelled clearly. We do not sell favourable coverage.
Sensitive Topics
On health, money, legal, and safety stories, we point readers to official sources and do not give personal advice. We take extra care with stories involving children, victims of crime, and people’s private information.
